I’m on a mission to tell stories women want to read.
Sally the novelist
I am called to use my voice as a novelist. I have lived an intense adult life, pushing against ceilings and grappling for balance, especially in New York City during the ‘70s and ‘80s. My evolution, and what has changed or not changed from then until now, has convinced me that women’s stories must be told. My women’s fiction novels speak for sisterhood, empathy, and compassion, in the face of today’s all-too-familiar misogyny, sexism, racism, homophobia (and all the other ugly -isms.)
Sally the traveler
One of the jobs I maintain, as part of earning a living, is tour directing for AAA travel. I specialize in garden and culture-themed trips to Europe, Canada, and mostly the U.S. East Coast. We travel by motor coach, air, or sometimes cruises. Travel stimulates the imagination, uses language skills, increases cultural awareness exponentially, and connects people. It is also great fodder for a writer’s brain as well.
Sally the garden lady
So many who know me as “the garden lady” in Western New York State, nearby states, and Canada. I have been that person, teaching ecology-centric earth care and organic garden for decades, through my books, news columns, and on TV.
